90'S FASHION
Memorable times and fashion you might want to forget are both big features of the 1990s. Fashion trends seem to come back around every 20 years, so some of those ’90s fads have found their way back into our closets while others (thankfully) will stay where they belong– in the ’90s!
Grow nostalgic over these fashion trends we (sorta sometimes) miss from the 1990s

land ahoy! Snap up your own private island for £3m, but it does look suspiciously like a boat
This amazing-looking craft can't quite work out whether it's a boat or an island.
The Osros floating Island was designed to offer the billionaire superyacht lifestyle for mere millionaire money. It boasts six luxury double bedrooms, with space for 12 residents and accommodation for up to four staff members, all for a cool £3million.
There is what the manufacturers describe as an 'autonomous power supply based energy system' powered, both day and night, by a noiseless wind energy system, as well as more than 120 m2 of solar panels making the most use of daylight. Heat recovery from sea water is the basis for heating and air conditioning.

FINALLY HP GETS ITS TABLET " D̶̲̥̅̊ SURFACE"
Microsoft inserted itself into the tablet hardware market in a major way this evening, unveiling its line of Surface tablet devices at an event in Los Angeles.
Wrapped in a magnesium case that Microsoft calls VaporMg (pronounced "Vapor mag"), the highlight feature of the Surface touch tablet might be a magnetically-attached, 3mm-thich Touch Cover that folds down and functions as a full touchscreen keyboard.
Another cover option, the 5-mm thick Type Cover, has a built-in track pad. The keyboards power down when they're folded back against the tablet thanks to a built-in accelerometer.
Microsoft says it will have two different versions of the Surface tablet, one with its Windows RT operating system, which runs on ARM-based processors, and another based on Intel's x86 CPU platform that will use Windows 8 Pro
Surface tablet key specs
9.3mm thick
676 grams/23.85 ounces
10.6-inch ClearType HD Display ("Full HD" on Pro model)
31.5 watt hour battery (42 watt hours on Pro model)
Ports: microSD, USB 2.0, micro HD video, 2x2 MIMO antennae (microSDXC,
USB 3.0, mini DisplayPort video on Pro model)
Storage options: 32GB and 64GB for Windows RT, 64GB and 128GB for
Windows 8 Pro
Front and rear-facing "HD" cameras
The 10.6-inch touch screen will give the Surface a bigger display than
the 10.1-inch Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2. Microsoft has not
announced the specifics of the display resolution yet, but it did confirm a 16:9 aspect ratio.
The "HD display" Microsoft mentions in its spec sheet for the Windows Pro version suggests a 1,920x1,080 pixel resolution. Only the 2,048x1,536 pixel iPad has a higher screen resolution. That might also imply a 1,280x720 display (aka 720p) on the vanilla "HD" Windows RT Surface tablet.
For the CPUs, the Surface with Windows RT will use an Nvidia ARM CPU, which most likely means a quad core Tegra 3 chip, like you'll find in the Asus Transformer Pro TF300. On the Windows 8 Pro Surface, Microsoft confirm a full-fledged third generation "Ivy Bridge" Core i5 quad core chip like the chips in current Windows laptops.
Microsoft was not forthcoming about networking details on the Surface, but a "MIMO" antenna (multiple input-multiple output), implies support for both wireless and cellular data connections.
Microsoft says pricing information will be available closer to availability, but that it will be comparative to competing ARM tablets and ultrabook laptops.
ITS ALL ABOUT FUN
Fun (stylized as fun.) is an American alternative rock band based in New York City that was formed by Nate Ruess, formerly of The Format. After the 2008 breakup of The Format, Ruess formed Fun with Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff of Anathallo and Steel Train respectively.[2] Fun has released two albums: their debut Aim and Ignite in 2009 and their latest Some Nights in February 2012.
The band is best known for its hit single "We Are Young" featuring Janelle Monáe. "We Are Young" reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Digital Songs charts, becoming the first alternative song to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart since Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" in 2008. It also peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart.

SAMSUNG NOTE
The Samsung Galaxy Note is an Android smartphone/tablet computer hybrid that was introduced in October 2011. It has attracted attention because of its 5.3-inch screen size – between that of conventional smartphones, and larger tablets – and because of its included stylus
Unfortunately, I struggle with a couple of things that frustrate me with this phone and might push me to exchange it when the Samsung Galaxy S III ships later this month. I’d hate to lose the screen size, but the items below will tempt me if the S III masters these issues.
Camera Failures
The camera app, compared to my iPhone 4S, makes it hard to get great shots. It’s slow and I can’t tap to focus. On an iPhone you tap the screen where you want the camera to focus. It also meters the exposure for that point. Other camera apps let you tap one spot for focus and a second spot for metering. Without Ice Cream Sandwich, this doesn’t seem possible on the Note. I’ve looked for replacements that will let me tap to focus and/or meter a shot, but all of them say they need ICS for that feature to work.
When I hit the shutter button, the phone lags about half a second behind before taking the shot. It kills me. I lose great shots that I could get on the iPhone 4S. I take a lot of pictures with my phone, so this irritates me. If you’re a Note user and found a way around these weaknesses with GingerBread, please let me know.
Battery Life
I’m not going to complain too loudly about the poor battery life on this phone, but I will complain softly. I never had to plug my iPhone into a power source as often as I do my Note. The Note’s large display and real 4G LTE connectivity use battery life fast.
If I keep this phone, I’ll get a higher capacity battery eventually. I’m taking a trip next week and that will really test the phone since I won’t be near a power outlet for hours during the day. I may need to get an external battery backup to carry.
MADONNA THE WIERRI MAMA
Lean on me: Madonna rests her weary head on boyfriend Brahim Zaibat as they enjoy a spot of retail therapy
Madonna is one of the busiest women in pop, juggling her multi-faceted career with bringing up four children.
So there isn't much time left for romance with her toyboy boyfriend Brahim Zaibat.
Having not being photographed together since February, the pair were spotted on a rare date in New York City yesterday
Enjoying a spot of shopping in the Big Apple, a weary-looking Madonna, 53, rested her head on her 25-year-old boyfriend's shoulder.
During their walk around the Upper East Side, they popped into a branch of J Crew, where the singer bought a hat and decided to wear it straight away.
In an interview with ABC earlier this year, Madonna opened up on her romance with the dancer
She said: 'I didn't choose to, you know, I didn't, like, write down on a piece of paper I'm now going to have a relationship with a younger man.
'That's just what happened. You see, that's the romantic in me. I just met someone that I cared for, and this happened to be his age.
And despite her diva reputation, Madonna insisted she was the laid-back one in their relationship
ITS ALL ABOUT BLUE IVY
Beyoncé hints at the meaning behind Blue Ivy's unusual name with telling Tumblr post
As far as celebrity baby names go, Blue Ivy is perhaps the most unique.
And after much speculation surrounding the name of her daughter with Jay-Z, Beyoncé has now hinted at her reasons behind choosing it.
The singer, 30, posted a passage on her official Tumblr from Rebecca Solnit's 2005 novel, A Field Guide to Getting Lost
The excerpt focuses on the significance of the colour blue, beginning: ‘The world is blue at its edges and in its depths.’
And the final sentence Beyoncé posted seems to summarise the power of the colour as it reads: ‘The light that gets lost, gives us the beauty of the world, so much of which is in the color blue.’

BBC conductor honoured by Queen and his WIFE 'both raped former pupil
An acclaimed BBC conductor who was honoured by the Queen for his work on children's choral music appeared in court alongside his wife today accused of jointly raping a former pupil.

The oldest hookers in town: The 69-year-old twin sisters who are both prostitutes… and have over a century of experience between them
Turning tricks: Amsterdam prostitutes Louise and Martine Fokkens are the subjects of a new documentary that sees then discuss their 50-year careers in the city's Red Light District
A candid documentary about a pair of 69-year-old prostitute twin sisters is to make its debut at New York's Film Forum festival this summer.
Louise and Martine, who are veterans of Amsterdam's famous Red Light District and have a century of experience between them, star in Meet the Fokkens.
In a trailer, released today, they describe how times have changed since they started their career in the early Sixties, and how they feel about the public perception of their trade
It features a voiceover from Louise, who says: 'I can't tell you how many tricks we've had, countless.
'We hardly ever really f****d unless they paid us well.'
Comparing the early days of the prostitution world with the present day, she recalls: 'In the old days, the local copper would tap on the window if a girl was showing too much ankle, now the girls deal coke from their cubicles.'
Louise explains that arthritis forced her to retire two years ago, because she 'couldn’t get one leg over the other' - though her sister continues to wor
'My twin sister is still working in her old age,' she says. 'She needs the money. You can't live off a state pension.'
The trailer then shows a scene in which Martine is preparing herself for a job. She is seen calling out to her unseen client: 'I'm almost there... Did you hear me?'
An anonymous voice replies: 'Yes mistress,' to which she responds: 'Good Boy.'
The sisters can also be seen browsing a display of vibrators together in a sex shop, discussing the quality of the products on offer, and how they might use them
Man goes to hospital with a kidney stone... and discovers he's a woman
A man who went to hospital with a kidney stone was stunned when a nurse gave him his results - and revealed that he was actually a woman.
Steve Crecelius, a photographer from Denver, Colorado, was born with both male and female traits and had long repressed his feminine side.
But after an ultrasound made the discovery, he no longer lives as a man and goes by 'Stevie' - a move that his wife and their six children support
'I remember wearing my mom’s clothes and makeup, very secretly, not telling anybody,' Crecelius, who chose to hide behind a male persona, told Fox31.
But 40 years later, the nurse gave the explanation for his feelings, revealing that he was intersex
'I had a kidney stone and we’re in the emergency room,' Crecelius said. 'The nurse is reading the ultrasound and says, "Huh, this says you’re a female". It validated everything I had always felt inside.'
While Crecelius appeared to have male genitalia, the ultrasound indicated he also had internal female sex organs - just one of the conditions under the umbrella term 'intersex'

Support: Stevie's wife Debbie, right, stood by her after the discovery and they are still together
Family: Stevie, with one of her six children, said she had feared their reaction - but they have supported her
When they arrived home, his wife Debbie forced him to talk about it - a conversation that Crecelius had avoided in fear that he would lose his family.
WHAT IS INTERSEX?
Intersex is the term for a group of conditions where there is a discrepancy between the external genitals and the internal genitals (the testes and ovaries).
For example, a person may have male genitals but also have fallopian tubes and ovaries. Or a person might have female genitalia but have testes inside their body or male chromosomes.
The condition, which used to be called hermaphroditism, means that a person cannot be classified clearly as a male or female.
It is hard to determine the number of cases in the U.S., due to how a person may appear to be of a decisive gender.
But the Intersex Society of North America notes that medical experts say one in 1,500 children are born with noticeably atypical genitalia.
But rather than walking away, she was supportive, choosing to deal with the news by taking Stevie shopping for her first bra, The Denver Post reported.
Debbie admitted it has not been easy and feared that she would never get her husband back - but stood by Stevie, saying: 'You will be who you are'.
'I didn’t sign on for this, but who signs on for anything?' Debbie told Fox31. 'She’s the same person she was as a he on the inside.'
They battled through by being open about their concerns as they adjusted through the changes.
'We asked each other questions,' Debbie told the Post. 'He asked me, "What if you meet someone along the way?" I said, "What if you meet someone?" The road goes both ways.'
The couple, who have now been together more than 25 years, still share a room and a bed together.
'She still relates to my heart and soul, and I still relate to hers, and I think that that’s the essence of true love,' Crecelius said.

The mother of a girl allegedly murdered for defying her strict Muslim parents began the fatal attack with the words 'Just finish it here', a court heard yesterday.
As Shafilea Ahmed's younger brother and sisters watched, an argument which began over the 17-year-old wearing a skimpy T-shirt ended with her parents pushing a plastic bag in her mouth and suffocating her on the settee, the jury was told.
Her younger sister Alesha, then just 15, said she saw Shafilea's eyes bulging as she gasped for breath and kicked out while Iftikhar Ahmed and his wife Farzana held their hands over her face.
She told the jury that after the couple pushed Shafilea's limp body on to the floor, her father punched the teenager once in the chest at the family home in Warrington.
That evening, she said, their 13-year-old brother Junyade told his surviving sisters: 'She deserved it.'
Shafilea's remains were found on a riverbank in Cumbria five months later. But it was not until 2010 that Alesha – now 23 – came forward to give her account of the killing.
Giving evidence from behind a screen at Chester Crown Court for a second day, Alesha said her sister wanted to continue in the sixth form of her secondary school to further her ambition of becoming a lawyer.
However her parents objected because of the westernised lifestyle she and her friends there had led, so she went to a nearby college instead. Shafilea also got a part-time telesales job after lessons, the court heard, and would be picked up by one of her parents every evening
On September 11, 2003, said Alesha, she accompanied her mother to bring Shafilea home. The 17-year-old was wearing a lilac V-neck T-shirt and white trousers made from stretchy material with ties at the hips, while she was carrying a cardigan.
Asked about their mother's reaction by prosecutor Andrew Edis, QC, she answered: 'She wasn't happy about her being in just a T-shirt.' When they got home, Mrs Ahmed spoke to her taxi driver husband, and the argument about 'her not wearing her jumper' continued in the living room, she added.
The mother then passed Shafilea's bags to her son to search for money and boys' numbers, which was normal practice.
After he found cash including a £20 note, the argument escalated, Alesha added, as the siblings plus their two younger sisters – aged 12 and seven – looked on.
Then, she told the jury: 'My mum said "Just finish it here" to my dad.' She said her mother had spoken the words in Urdu.
Alesha said her mother then pushed Shafilea on to the settee before both parents started hitting her and one said: 'Grab a bag.'
Alesha said she went upstairs to the bedroom the sisters shared before sneaking back down and seeing her mother in the kitchen, sorting through old 'flowery' sheets, bin bags and rolls of tape.
Later, through the curtains, she glimpsed her father carrying a dark package up the driveway with his arms outstretched, 'like a cradle', she said. 'The way he was carrying it, it just looked like it was my sister.'
Tragic: Shafilea had been a keen student at her school in Warrington, Cheshire, and enjoyed trips to shopping centres and wearing Western clothes
Shortly afterwards, she heard a car leaving. She said the siblings were all crying and upset – apart from Junyade. 'My brother said to me and my sisters that she deserved it.'
Alesha said she was told to say Shafilea had run away from home.
The next day, however, she 'blurted out' to three friends that her father had killed her sister and chopped up her body, but begged them to keep it secret.
After school, for the first time ever, she changed into clothes belonging to Shafilea and went with friends to a park, drinking cider and alcopops, she said.
But rumours were already swirling around that Shafilea had been 'chopped up' and 'buried in the family's back garden', so she returned home.
Shafilea was reported missing after teachers heard the rumours but, when questioned by police, Alesha denied saying she had been killed.
Asked by Mr Edis what she thought would happen to her if she had repeated her account to police, she answered: 'The same thing that happened to my sister.'
She said her parents warned their children to 'be careful' of what they said inside the house in case listening devices had been planted by police.
It was only in 2010 after Alesha was arrested over a robbery at the family home during which her mother, surviving sisters and brother were tied up that she told police she had seen Shafilea's killing.
Mr Edis has told the court Alesha admits her role in the robbery and has been given no 'inducements' to give evidence against her parents.
Iftikhar Ahmed, 52, and his 49-year-old wife deny murder.
The case continues.

A man who had his genitals removed seasoned them before cooking them for five paying dinner party guests, it has been claimed.
Mao Sugiyama, 22, who is asexual, had voluntarily undergone surgery to have them removed.
But the illustrator took his frozen penis and scrotum home from hospital and organised a grim party.

He charged guests around £160 per person to eat his severed genitalia in Tokyo, Japan.
They were garnished with mushrooms and parsley.
Before tucking into dinner, guests sat down to listen to a piano recital and take part in a panel discussion, CalorieLab.com reported.
Mao, who goes by the nickname HC, had initially considered eating his own penis – but decided to serve them up instead.
He cooked the genitalia himself as he was supervised by a chef.
In a Tweet, he offered to cook his penis for a guest for £800. However, he ultimately decided to split the ‘meal’ between six guests.
He wrote on Twitter: ‘I am offering my male genitals (full penis, testes, scrotum) as a meal for 100,000 yen (£800). I’m Japanese

In total around 70 people attended the event in the Suginami ward of Tokyo. While five people tucked into Mao Sugiyama’s genitalia, the rest of them ate beef or crocodile
where it all awent down
The people who ate his genitalia were a 30-year-old couple, a 22-year-old women, a 32-year-old man and Shigenobu Matsuzawa, 29, an event planner.
He Tweeted before the event: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime chance, so I decided on the spur of the moment to do it.’
He posted pictures of the event on his blog, but later removed them and said his decision to take them down was due to ‘privacy considerations’.
Sugiyama made guests sign a waiver so he was not responsible if they became ill after eating his genitalia. They were removed in early April shortly after his 22nd birthday.
The dinner party organiser joked before the event that he would be posting his recipe online.
Guests said that the genitalia were very rubbery and tasted of very little, CalorieLab.com reported.
